Stonington Harbor Yacht Sailing Club has developed a successful partnership with the Connecticut Special Olympics Committee, which has requested that the SHYC become both the permanent site and an institutional sponsor of the state’s Special Olympics sailing events. The purpose of the NRF grant is to facilitate a stable, long-term partnership, including supporting salaries, programming costs, and adaptation of existing facilities to better serve the population.
