Since its founding in 1982, Colorado UpLift has mentored over 30,000 youth. UpLIFT currently provides year- round programming for over 3,000 youth in the Denver area. This program includes weekly sessions in 115 class- rooms. The program teaches character values, life skills, enhances their own leadership abilities, and provides them with opportunities to develop their teamwork skills. This program has helped youth who are involved three or more years in the program reach a 90% rate of high school graduation. NRF supports UpLift’s five program areas: character education, arts, professional development, sports, cooking, outdoor recreation, team building, and mentoring.
